The life you live is either the light or the darkness in the lives of those around you. Shine and others will see your light and feel your warmth, but if you hold it back...they will feel cold and black inside. IT'S YOU who has the power to affect the world around you. One way or the other. CHOOSE LIGHT.

LIFE is the cumulative experience of who you are, who you allow to contribute to your life, and what you have experienced. It's all important relevant to the totality of YOU.

Don't look at endings as merely the final act of an event or experience. Look at them as the transition to a new beginning. Beginnings can bring a sense of unease at first, but allow yourself the time to adjust and remember, new beginnings can be exhilarating

By the look on your face, you convey to others your own personal weather report. Better to be warm and sunny.

If you have to buy your place in line, perhaps you are in the wrong line.

No truly honorable man will ever put his principles and values up for sale. Only those without integrity do so. If you have no core, then your core integrity will be as stable as jello on a bumpy road.

Don't just enjoy the view of life from the windowseat. Get out in it and participate.

What you ARE is WHO you are. What you LEARN is who you BECOME.

I am in the process of becoming the person I will be when God and mother nature and my friends and my family and LIFE are done producing the mold. I choose to be molded, never moldy.

I may not end up the person I thought I'd be, but I WILL end up being the person I am...the person I was meant to become.

If I bring you a smile, pass it on. If I bring you a laugh, do it and share it. If I bring you a frown, KICK ME. Sometimes I have to be kick-re-started.

STOP BEING CRANKY. We are LONG past the age of the Model T.

I'd rather be a workhorse than a peacock. Peacocks look good, but workhorses get the job done.

YOU can be an ass all by yourself. You do NOT need to steal a horses'.

The amount of people who follow you is not important. The quality of those followers IS.

I would rather follow those who seem to know where they are headed than those who would lead me to a landfill.

BE an ocean others can jump into and be refreshed by. Not a dry riverbed which nourishes nothing.

If you don't feel smart enough to lead, then don't be dumb enough to ask others to follow.

NEVER be too quick to follow someone off the cliff without FIRST being assured of a soft landing.

Some people are not meant to be swimmers. Being a towelboy is good too.

If you are called to serve, SERVE. If you are called to do, DO. But NOBODY is called to merely sit on their deadasses and watch.

You'll never be thoroughly conversant with someone else's story, until you read their book. The cover only represents the front door, not the entirety of the contents of the house behind it. Scanning the index does NOT gain you much more than a hint or two. You have to be engaged in the story to know its worth to you.
